This story is told in an adventurous way in the completely renovated Museum of the Canals Amsterdam. In the monumental building on the Herengracht you travel with a dazzling tour through 400 years of history. Museum of the Canals Amsterdam not only shows what was so special about the origin of the Amsterdam canals, but also why they still are today.

The museum is for anyone who loves the city or is about to fall in love with it. In the rooms you will discover one of the largest urban expansions in the world: the 17th century canals in Amsterdam. With the renewed interactive multi-media exhibition you can travel through 400 years of history in 45 minutes. The museum shop offers souvenirs that are linked to the Amsterdam canals and the museum. Books, jewelery, scarves, cups, notebooks, pens and wine; this is just a selection from the wide range. The store is freely accessible, you can also visit the store without an entrance ticket.
