The building is the former residence of Wim Sonneveld, one of the most famous Dutch artists of the last century. The building is owned by the 'Blijvend Applaus' foundation, which gives financial support to artists and helps them in finding affordable housing. The walls of the cafe are full of photos by Wim Sonneveld, a tribute to this great singer, comedian and actor.
Although you may not immediately notice, the seating area continues a bit around the corner; on this side you can dine with a small group, but also larger groups can enjoy the great ambiance of this cafe.
