Het Muizenhuis

Right in the middle of Muntplein stands a house full of mice. This "Mouse Mansion" (Muizenhuis) displays the original sets Karina Schaapman created for her popular *Sam & Julia* book series. It is a delight for young and old alike—and completely free to visit.

Wander past little rooms, stairwells, warehouses, canals, and bridges, and discover mice hard at work everywhere. Look for the secret hideout beneath the stairwell, check out the "Milk Mouse" (a playful nod to Vermeer’s *The Milkmaid*), and pay a visit to Grandpa Sailor down by the harbor. There is always a game of bingo to play—perfect for children who want to do a little extra exploring.
