Amsterdam Light Festival

until 23 January

During this 10th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival the most impressive art works of the past years are on display. Covid19 restrictions make it impossible to see the light art from a boat, however it is possible to follow a walking route. The lights are on between 5pm and 10pm.

Chinese New Year

1 February 2022

The Chinese community of Amsterdam will celebrate the start of the year of the Tiger as big as the covid19 restrictions permit. The traditional lion dance through Chinatown will start at the Budhist Temple and continues its way along all the Chinese entrepreneurs to bring them happiness and prosperity for the new year. Normally the celebration is on the Saturday after the official start of the Chinese new year but if this is possible again will depend on the covid19 restrictions.
